Nita Hill

My name is Nita Hill, and I am so excited to be a Mountaineer! Twenty-three years ago I started my career as a School Counselor in a small town and loved the unique opportunity to connect and partner with students, staff and families. Having spent the last few years in a larger district, I was reminded of the power and promise of these connections when I had an opportunity to support Ptarmigan staff and students this spring as an administrative intern. I knew right away that Orting was the place for me to begin this next step in my journey and I am so excited to be able to officially join the team as the Assistant Principal.

Outside of school, you will find my husband, myself and our three boys enjoying all things outdoors. We love to camp and hike and have logged many adventure miles across the states and Canada in our 70 VW bus Ethel. Our two oldest are off to college and a career in the trades and our youngest is a junior in high school – how time flies.

Elementary school truly is the foundation for future success, it is my goal that every student and family feel safe, welcome and valued as an important member of our school community. There is so much to learn this year about our school and what our shared vision of success looks like, I am eager to get started.  I look forward to meeting you and developing strong partnerships to support your students’ academic and social success.
